Do I need a selective licence?
Leeds brought in selective licensing for parts of Armley, Beeston and Holbeck, Burmantofts and Richmond Hill, Hunslet and Riverside, Gipton and Harehills, and Farnley and Wortley on 9 February 2026. The area covers parts of those wards, not all of them, so the only way to know is to check the exact boundary. Type a postcode and we'll do it.
How this works
We use the council's own boundary data, released to us under a Freedom of Information request in October 2026, rather than a map image, so the check is to the exact line. Postcodes are matched by their centre point, which is why edge cases are flagged for a manual check. Nothing you type is stored.
